HIPAA Training

One of the tenets of working in the healthcare interpreting is to maintain the privacy and confidentiality of a patient’s health information. This is an ethical and legal obligation that every healthcare provider or personnel should uphold.

The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) has been engrained into the consciousness of virtually every healthcare worker in the United States. It has become a synonym for “privacy and security.” As a member of the treatment team, interpreters must be well versed in HIPAA in order to be compliant with its requirements. Learn everything you need to know about HIPAA in this course, and check your knowledge with a quiz.
