About Us

Interpreter Education Online (IEO) was founded in 2009 by Jinny Bromberg, the first court-certified Russian interpreter in the state of Michigan, interpreter training developer and passionate advocate for quality language access and for interpreter and translator training. Initially, IEO provided excellent training solutions geared toward court and healthcare interpreters, gradually adding expert webinars, courses for translators and educational interpreters, and now hosting highly acclaimed international online conferences twice a year.

In 2021, we realized it’s time for rebranding, to encompass that IEO provides training not only for interpreters, but also for translators and other language industry professionals. That is how IEO has grown into LEO (Linguist Education Online).

Among LEO’s services are language fluency and interpreter performance testing, as well as private Skype lessons with instructors. LEO’s interpreter courses are available in Albanian, Arabic, Cantonese, French, Haitian Creole, Hmong, German, Korean, Mandarin, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Vietnamese. All LEO’s instructors are certified interpreters and translators, with years of trainer experience. We are known in the industry for convenience, great user experience, fast CEU turnaround and comprehensive high-quality training.

Since its inception, LEO has been committed to equipping interpreters and translators with the tools necessary for quality language service. Today, we are proud to work not only with individual students, but also collaborate with state courts, municipalities, call centers, and healthcare organizations to provide quality training and testing to interpreters and bilingual staff. We also work with Language Service Companies testing applicants and helping them to maintain quality assurance for their clients. As we continue to grow, we are determined to ensure that the standards of professional interpretation and translation are consistently upheld by our students.
