LEO Wellness Circle

A new community space for interpreters to connect, reflect, and support each other
Join us for the LEO four-session wellness series facilitated by Cynthia Mauleón to explore
and implement wellness practices.

Interpreters tend to be caring humans, passionate about our work and patients and giving ourselves wholeheartedly in service to our personal relationships and communities, often to our own detriment.

How can we best prepare for the impact this work will have on our physical and emotional wellbeing?
How can we implement an interpreter self-care practice?

Sessions will incorporate mindfulness, a monthly wellness topic, discussion, reflection and wellness goal setting.

This supportive initiative provides a respectful, confidential environment where participants can connect with peers, share experiences, and speak openly about recent interpreting assignments, vicarious trauma that may arise from the work, and its effects on their well-being.
