Giovanna conceptualized and launched Cesco Linguistic Services as a foreign language agency and a conduit between Colorado's Limited English Proficiency residents and the service providers who tend to the needs of this growing population. She leads and manages a pool of over 200 language professionals covering a wide range of languages, from the most common to the most exotic.

Before co-founding Nimdzi, Beninatto held leadership roles in various translation and localization companies. He is recognized as an expert in the translation industry, frequently speaking at industry events and contributing articles to publications.

Natalya is the Executive Director of the Certification Commission for Healthcare Interpreters, and a Commissioner of the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA). In 2000-2013, Natalya was Communications Director at the International Institute of Akron, a refugee resettlement agency in Ohio. She developed and taught several courses for healthcare and court interpreters, with the focus on languages of lesser diffusion. Natalya is a Russian interpreter/translator, and started her career as instructor of interpretation/translation courses at Volgograd State University (Russia) in 1991. She holds a combined BA/MA degree from VSU in Philology & Teaching English as a Foreign Language.

Bruce Adelson, Esq., Federal Compliance Consultant

Bruce is a highly-regarded expert in the areas of language access, disability access, and compliance. With his extensive experience and expertise, he serves as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Consultant to both the Idaho Supreme Court and New Mexico Administrative Office of the Courts.

Prior to his current role, Bruce was a Senior Trial Attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice, where he worked to ensure compliance with federal laws protecting the rights of individuals with disabilities.

In addition to his consulting work, Bruce is also a respected member of the academic community. He currently serves on the faculty of Georgetown University School of Medicine and the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where he teaches Implicit Bias in Health Care. Bruce has also taught at a number of other prestigious institutions, including Harvard University, Cornell University, Auburn University, The Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health, and the University of Baltimore School of Law.

Dale is a Certified Healthcare Interpreter and interpreter trainer based in Salt Lake City, UT. His work spans freelance interpretation and translation along the Wasatch Front in Utah, training new interpreters within the community and at Intermountain Health, and educating bilingual staff on the importance of qualified interpretation. With a deep passion for language, his primary goal is to create as many opportunities as possible for qualified language professionals to deliver quality services.

Janis Palma is certified by NAJIT as an English-Spanish interpreter and translator and is federally certified as a judiciary interpreter. Her professional experience spans more than four decades. Ms. Palma has a Master's in Legal Studies (MLS) from Arizona State University's Sandra Day O'Connor School of Law and an M.A. in literature and history from the Centro de Estudios Avanzados de Puerto Rico y el Caribe. She has been involved in the education of judiciary interpreters since 1986, conducts research, and writes frequently on the subject. Recently, she founded a nonprofit, IKIGAI, to further advocate for the professional development of interpreters in general.

Katharine serves as the Director of Language Industry Learning at Boostlingo, bringing over thirty years of experience as an interpreter, trainer, and curriculum designer. As a co-author of influential texts like "The Remote Interpreter®," "The Community Interpreter® International," and "The Indigenous Interpreter®," she has significantly contributed to the field.

Katharine's leadership roles include co-presidency at InterpretAmerica and founding memberships in the American Association of Interpreting and Translation in Education and the SAFE-AI Interpreting Task Force. Her academic contributions are notable, having taught at Glendon College's Masters in Conference Interpreting and UMASS Amherst’s Translation and Interpreting (AAITE) Certificate program.

Katharine holds an MA in Translation and Interpretation from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies.

Nora is an English-Spanish translator and conference interpreter with a passion for utilizing technology to boost productivity. This, coupled with her love for teaching, has inspired her to share her insights through a blog, articles, webinars, and workshops. Nora serves as the Chair of the American Translators Association Professional Development Committee and is a co-organizer of the AI in Translation Summit, the Innovation in Translation Summit, and the Innovation in Interpreting Summit. She is the co-author of the book "The Translator’s Tool Box" and was recognized as one of the Top 30 Women in the Language Industry by Multilingual Magazine in 2023.

Valeria is a translation strategist and conference interpreter passionate about advising clients and colleagues on top-notch solutions related to the T&I industry. She is an experienced ATA-certified translator for Spanish-English combinations and a nationally-certified healthcare interpreter (CHI Spanish designation), holding a BA in French and Psychology from UTEP. In 2010, Valeria earned an MA in Spanish Translation and Interpretation, along with a Professional Certificate in Simultaneous Interpreting from the renowned Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey (MIIS).

Since 2004, Valeria has worked in both freelance and in-house capacities across a diverse array of sectors, including local and federal government, law enforcement, the oil and gas industry, universities, and medical, legal, and community services, as well as for top 100 global language service providers. Currently, she is the owner of A Lingua Franca LLC, a T&I consulting firm, and serves as a professor at UTEP, where she teaches translation and interpretation courses. Furthermore, Valeria is a proud and active member of the ATA and the El Paso Interpreters and Translators Association (EPITA).

As a past president of the ATA, she is passionate about developing and fostering pathways for the next generation of language professionals. She currently chairs The American Foundation for Translation and Interpretation with enthusiasm. Caitilin is a graduate of Willamette University and the Université de Strasbourg.

Carla is a nationally recognized leader in medical interpreting, language access, and addressing health disparities. As the System Director of Diversity Initiatives, Interpreter Services, and ADA/504 and Section 1557 Coordinator at Steward Health Care, she managed language services across 42 hospitals and over 600 physician practices in 9 states.

Her career began in 1988 as a registered nurse, and she played a pivotal role in drafting the IMIA Standards of Practice in 1995 and the Best Practice Recommendations for hospital-based Interpreter Services in 2001. Carla founded the Forum of the Coordination of Interpreter Services (FOCIS) in 2003, promoting best practices among hospital and clinic-based programs. She has served as President of FOCIS and NCIHC and is a founding member of the Interpreting SAFE-AI Taskforce.

Carla's leadership has earned her the Healthcare Hero award from the Boston Business Journal in 2015, and she remains a sought-after consultant on language access, health disparities, and hospital regulatory requirements.

An ATA-certified patent and technical translator and post-editor, Carola operates CFB Scientific Translations LLC, specializing in translations and post-editing between German and English. Carola has extensive experience post-editing machine-translated patents and has taken courses on Machine Translation Post-Editing (MTPE) and the inner workings of neural machine translation, even developing her own MT engine. In 2022, she co-authored a presentation on quality metrics for the MT Summit 2022, hosted by the American Machine Translation Association (AMTA). Additionally, Carola has delivered numerous presentations on artificial intelligence, machine translation, and post-editing for the ATA and other translation organizations.

With over twenty years of experience in healthcare, Gustavo's career encompasses various clinical roles and departments before he transitioned into medical interpreting. He currently serves as the President and CEO of Titan Language Solutions and the Managing Director of TransInterpreting. Additionally, Gustavo is a Certified HIPAA Privacy Expert and actively participates in organizations that advocate for language access and the interpreting profession.

For the past 8 years, he has dedicated his expertise to Natividad Hospital in Salinas, CA, currently serving as the Interpreting Services Supervisor. Additionally, Jorge proudly contributes as a Licensed Trainer for The Community Interpreter program by Cross-Culture Communication.

Throughout his tenure at Natividad Hospital, Jorge has trained numerous dual-role hospital staff members, equipping them with the skills to excel as qualified interpreters.
